Course Description

This course is designed to expand on the intermediate actor’s knowledge of the art of acting and theater.  Through various processes, each student will discover what is encompassed in the artistic perception, creative expression, historical context, aesthetic value, and profession on drama.  Students will have a more in-depth understanding of the history of drama and the dramatic profession through lectures, readings, written assignments, creativity, and acting.  Different acting styles are introduced.  Examples are Reader’s Theater and Children’s Theater.
