The boys frosh soph soccer team took on Irvine High School yesterday and won 4-1. Two goals were scored by Joseph Manriquez, one by Danny Tran and another by Jordi Escobar. It was a great effort by all the boys


The 411 on Girls Soccer is that they are actually 4-1 and 1. With a nice 1-0 win over Irvine the Lions played Santa Ana in the Championship round of the 18 team tournament and had to settle for 2nd place behind goals by Jarelly Vasquez and Sarah Ralston with assists by Vanessa Campos and Sarah Ralston. Congratulations also go to the Frosh/Soph team who won the Frosh/Soph section of the tournament.


Students , Having trouble with your school work? need some advice about college? or

just advice in general? then Project HOPE is the program for you. We provide tutoring in all subjects, one on one peer advising, college preparation workshops. ust come to room L-3 every Tuesday afterschool from 3-5:30 and we can get you started. If you have any questions, come by L3 and ask for Mr. Pham or Mr. Burns.


The Japanese Culture Club is meeting Thursdays in J4 at lunch. Come join us if you are interested or want more information and want to learn about Japanese history and culture. Every other meeting we we’ll be watching anime! Remember J4 at lunch!


Hey Lions! A brand new dance is coming to YOU December 8th! WHS ASB presents… ELECTRIC SNOW! For the low price of $10 with asb and $15 without asb and $20 at the door! Come out for a good time with friends, music, a hot chocolate bar, taco truck and more! Tickets are on sale now in the Finance Office. Guest contracts must be approved for any non-whs guests. See you at Buckingham Square on Dec 8th from 7-10pm!


Red Cross and Junior Ambassador will be holding a toy drive today up until December 22nd and we want YOU to help donate toys to unprivileged children and teens! Help us by donating brand new toys and dropping it off to any wrapped boxes on campus! Ask your teachers for extra credit for donating!! Spread Joy and Happiness this upcoming Christmas!!


Hey Freshmen, do you need FREE after school tutoring? Do you want to go on FREE college field trips? Then stop by the Career Center today to sign up or learn more about the Upward Bound program. We do have limited spots left so don’t wait!


Attention seniors and juniors. It is time to be enrolling in an ROP Spring 2018 course. There are over 60 ROP classes to choose from. See Mrs. Duremdes in the Career Center. Classes are filling up FAST!!

Do you want to give back this holiday season?? Take a minute to help out our lions in need this holiday season and participate in our Miracle Minute. Miracle Minute will take place on Wednesday, December 6th, in your 4th period class. Donate $1, $5…whatever you can! No donation is too small.


Hellooooo SENIORS!!!!! The Frank M. Doyle Scholarship is here in the Career Center. Please come and apply. The Doyle foundation has been financing our seniors higher education for over 21 years here at WHS. See Mrs. Duremdes for details.

Inform Empower and Impact! AWARE club has a general meeting TODAY in T-20. Bring your friends and your lunch to stay aware!


Did you know that any books you check out at the WHS Library are due in January? That gives you plenty of time to read the latest best sellers and greatest classics. Remember you can check out 5 books at a time.


Anyone interested in trying out for the baseball team should report to the baseball field on Tuesday Dec 4th and Thursday Dec 7th. This will be the last tryout of the year with the exception of those currently in a winter sport. Hope to see yo out there
