Good Morning Lions!

Your lady lions basketball program went for the sweep last night beating El Toro. The varsity finished in off with a 55-49 win with smart team play. Come out on Saturday for our first home game as we take on Tesoro high school. Let’s show them what it means to be a lion!


Habitat for Humanity and Make-a-Wish Club will be hosting a Christmas Movie Night in the Globewest Theater TODAY from 3:30-5:30! Come and get in the holiday spirit with us as we watch Home Alone and enjoy some hot cocoa and fresh popcorn! Again, it is TODAY in the Globewest Theater from 3:30-5:30!


Looking for a last minute holiday gift? Come to the Ceramics Art Sale at lunch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Pride Gallery M14 and finish you holiday shopping! Ceramic spoons, vases and cups. Gift Wrapping is available for $1.00 See you there!


Red Cross and Junior Ambassador will be holding a toy drive today up until December 22nd and we want YOU to help donate toys to unprivileged children and teens! Help us by donating brand new toys and dropping it off to any wrapped boxes on campus! Ask your teachers for extra credit for donating!! Spread Joy and Happiness this upcoming Christmas!!


All seniors who are planning on going to Goldenwest College next year, please come to the College Career Center to apply for the GWC scholarships. There are 7 scholarships to choose from.


Hey guys, JC^2 is going to play Kahoot today in room J4. We’ll provide free snacks, prizes like expensive school supplies, plushies, and more. And don’t worry about not knowing the answers to the kahoot questions, we’ll have a quick preview going over all the answers, so come on down to room J4 today!


HO HO HO ROP is the way to go, Spring ROP class registration is all this week. Don’t be left out in the cold. Please see Mrs. Duremdes in the College/Career Center today!


Are you a junior or senior planning to take Health second semester? Are you self-motivated and have a busy schedule? If so, you may be interested in Hybrid Health, where you go to class once per week and do work online on your own time. To learn more and enroll you must come to the orientation today at 2:45 in E-1.


Interested in a medical career or in need for volunteering hours? Join American Heart Association club today in H5 or Mrs. Gonzalez’s room and save a life!

Did you know that any books you check out at the WHS Library are due in January? That gives you plenty of time to read the latest best sellers and greatest classics. Remember you can check out 5 books at a time.


There will be a Key Club meeting today in room L3 during lunch. Bring your friends, get caught up on events over break and we will also be passing out candy canes!


Extra, extra, read all about it in the WHS Pawprint! Do you like to write? Take pictures? Express your opinions? Join the Newspaper Club today, now online! If you like to blog, this is the club for you! Meetings every Thursday at lunch in room J6!


The Risen Christian Club will not be meeting this week. Have a great vacation and we will see you next year!


Due to the weather nationwide blood donations go down, and over the holidays the need for blood goes up. January 11 is an important blood drive for so many in Orange County. Contact Ms. Braun in E-1 to schedule an appointment and turn in a permission slip.


The 4th period class spirit battle continues!!!! Don’t forget to wear your ugliest holiday sweater TOMORROW for a chance to rack up your final points in the class competition. The winning class from all 4 weeks will win a hot chocolate and donut party when we return from Winter Break!
