Hear this Lions, on Saturday at the FCCLA-CRE’s regionals competition, our Culinary team with Michael Borrego and Brian Perkins place 2nd; Fashion student Shenny Sanchez placed 3rd. Michael and Brian will be heading to State competitions in April. Please congratulate our multi-talented students MichaelBorrego, Brian Perkins and Shenny Sanchez!
For the first time in 10 years, both Varsity and JV cheer competed in the USA National Cheerleading Championship. After placing in the top 30% of their divisions in prelims, both teams made it to the national finals. JV took 3rd in their division and Varsity placed 2nd. Congratulations to these amazing athletes.
In Friday’s Soccer action our crowd of nearly 200 people rocked the stands and in the final minute of the game Kelly Almazan hit a rocket shot for the winning goal as the Lion kingdom went crazy. The Lions defense now has 16 shutouts including the last 6 games. Come on the $3 rooter bus that leaves at 1:30 tomorrow as we have made the semi-finals. Only 4 teams are left in the playoffs and the Lions will play at Jarupa Hills High at 3:00. Come to the Finance office with $3 and join the fun.
Congrats to wrestlers Aine Drury and Matthew Nguyen. Aine went to the Girls State meet this passed weekend and won the title, becoming the 1st state champion ever for Westminster High School Matthew Put himself on the podium at the CIF southern section masters meet this past weekend, which puts him into the State wrestling Finals this weekend at Rabobank arena in Bakersfield. Matthew is now one of the top 32 wrestlers in the entire state. Wish him luck!
Congratulations to all 3 levels of the baseball team. The freshman won their first game with an outstanding day fro Isaac Bueno who hit for a single, double, triple, and hit a home run with 5 runs batted in. The JV won both of their games scoring a combined 32 runs and only giving up 4. Lastly the Varsity split their 2 games winning the first game putting 19 runs. Josh Ochoa threw for 5 innings of shut out baseball and Ryan Livingstone threw the last 2 to close it out.

The indoor soccer tournament is coming back again. Last semester teams battled it out for the title of championship , but who will take it this semester? Sign ups will be held at lunch in k1 starting today until Tuesday.
Attention AP Students: Next Wednesday the 28th is the final deadline to be register and pay for AP exams. Students not registered by then will not have an exam this year. Check with your teacher to make sure your name is on their testing roster and has “paid in full” status.
Hey Lions- Our Varsity Girls Soccer team is making history. Support them by wearing school colors Tuesday and come out to Buckingham Square at lunch on Tuesday to send them off with Lion style.

Junior Ambassadors, a nonprofit, are helping the less fortunates in our community that lacks access to hygiene products. We will be assembling kits for people at the Santa Ana River that include zip lock bags, wipes, feminine products, dental care, shower items, bandaids, socks, and water bottles. However, we are in need of your generosity so please donate any of the items listed above to the donation box located at the office. The last day to donate will be March 4th; thank you for your support
There are rooter buses leaving at 1:30pm for Jurupa Hills High School for our Varsity Girls CIF Semi-Finals game. The cost is $3 and all students must have a signed parent permission slip. In addition, students with an academic 6th period class, must gain teacher permission.
