This weekend in the Lion’s Den our JV guard took 4th place with their highest score so far this year. The Varsity guard placed 6th and beat Fountain Valley once again. On Sundayat Great Oak High School our drum lion took 2nd overall with first in Music and Visual, Strong performances from all.We are on a roll going into the Power Regionals this coming weekend. Great job to them all, GO Lions!
Attention Students! College Information Night is Tuesday, 3/20 at 5pm in the Globewest Theater. At this event you will learn about college admissions requirements such as A-G courses, college entrance exams, financial aid and so much more. Make-A-Wish Club is hosting a toy drive throughout this month to bring joy to children with life-threatening conditions at CHOC Hospital! There will be a prize for the person who donates the most. Toys can be dropped off in room G3!
Want to give back, but not sure how?? Well now you CAN!!!! The 1st ANNUAL District wide Canned Food Drive competition continues now until March 23rd. Schools from around the district will be competing to see which school can donate the most cans. Continue bringing those cans to your 4th period class for a chance to win a pizza party! Let’s show the other schools our lion pride and reach our goal of 10,000 pounds. We CAN do it Lions!!!!!!!
You’ve heard them singing at assembles, in the classrooms, and in the halls! Our very own Abbey Singers! Do you think you got what it takes to sing with Abbey Singers? If so come to the choir room to learn what to prepare for auditions on Monday, March 26th after school. You do not need to have been in choir to audition.
ATTENTION SOPHOMORES!!! If you did not attend Passport to Success, you now have the opportunity to log onto your Aeries account to select classes for next school year. The course selection window will remain open until Tuesday, 3/20. Check for an email from Mr. Bennett or ask your English teacher for directions.
WHO will be the next Mr. Westminster and winner of this year’s talent show??? Find out at at the Mr. Westminster/Talent Show on March 22nd from 7-9 in the WHS gym. Tickets are on sale NOW! Presale tickets are $5 and $7 at the door. Want to get in for free?? Then bring 20 cans of food to donate at the door and admission is FREE. You don’t want to miss out!
Yearbook is now doing senior class favorites and the makeup senior portraits. The senior portraits will cost $15 and will be taken next week in room K1.
