In yesterday’s Track and Field action our throwers were on fire getting the upper hand on visiting Santa Ana. The Track meet came down to the final relay with the boys varsity and Frosh Soph winning the final race and the meet. Each other level was quite close coming 2 points short of victory. Nice job Lions!
In yesterday’s badminton action, our Varsity lions defeated Kennedy High School with a score of 19-2 led by Sheila La and Christine Nguyen. Our JV lions also demolished Kennedy with a score of 14-1. Good job lions!
Attention anyone attending Saturday School tomorrow, March 24. There is no parking in the front parking lot or the parking lot adjacent to the H building. These parking areas are reserved for the car show. Please park behind the T building or off of Hazard Street.

Make-A-Wish Club is hosting a toy drive throughout this month to bring joy to children with life-threatening conditions at CHOC Hospital! There will be a prize for the person who donates the most. Toys can be dropped off in room G3!

If so come to the choir room to learn what to prepare for auditions on Monday, March 26th after school. You do not need to have been in choir to audition.

Seniors!! Graduation Products will be delivered today by the Activities Office during Lunch. Graduation products include the following items: Graduation Announcements Name Cards, Tassels and ALL other Senior remembrance items that were ordered back in January when you ordered your Caps & Gowns.
The Ring Man will be back todayduring Lunch by the Activities Office for Class Ring Orders and Deliveries. . Extra ordering packets are available in the Office.
Hey Seniors…This is the final week to do make up photos for the Yearbook’s Senior photos. Show up in nice clothes between zero period and the end of lunch. The cost is $15 and all photos are taken in room k-1.
Attention all freshman, sophomore, and junior girls! We will be starting a Girls Golf team in the fall. If you are interested in joining a motivated team and learning a great sport come to our information meeting on Thursday March 29th at lunch in the Choir Room C2. No previous golf experience is required!
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to travel the world?! Well, now you can!! Enjoy different cultural foods, games, performances and so much more without having to leave and attend our Multicultural Fair on Friday, April 13th. The fair will take place in Buckingham Square from 5-8pm. Get your tickets for the low price of $3 for ALL WHS students, $5 for non-WHS students, and $7 for adults. Tickets go on sale March 26th. It’s going to be a fun filled night and you don’t want to miss out!!

ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!! Be sure to return your signed course selection cards and any AP/Honors Agreements or summer school forms to the black box in the front office no later than Wednesday, March 28, or your classes will randomly be selected for next school year.
Attention Seniors: Your world language teacher has the list of students who have qualified for the Seal of Biliteracy award this year. Come and talk to your teacher to see if your name is on the list! If you are not enrolled in a World Language class this semester but you think you have met the award requirements, see Mrs. Prado or Mrs. Machado as soon as possible because you might need to apply for this award and the deadline is March 30.
On Tuesday, March 27th the EU will present their Spring Showcase featuring the LEO Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band, JV Color Guard, Jazz Band, Drum Line, Orchestra, Varsity Color Guard, and the Symphonic Band. Tickets are $3 pre-sale/$5 at the door. Hope to see you there, nothing better for the soul than live music performances. Go Lions!
Hey Lions!! It’s dodgeball time! Senior class presents the fun and very competitive dodgeball tournament from April 9-12th. Sign ups will begin March 26th. An important informational meeting will take place TODAY in K9. We will be going over all rules and regulations of the tournament at this meeting, so please be there if you plan to play. Hope to see you there!!!
Congratulations to Soccer players Shaylah Winterfeld, Kelly Almazan and Vanessa Campos as they will play in the Southern California All-Star game this Saturday. The game will be coached by Coach Boyd and will be played at 12:30 at Estancia High School.
