Good Morning Lions!

In the Soccer season that never seems to end…it finally did. The Southern California All-star game saw Kelly Almazan, Shaylah Winterfeld and Vanessa Campos play for coaches Boyd and Shorty and represent the winning side with a 2-0 score. Vanessa scored a goal and had an assist and she was named the games Most Valuable Player. Congratulations Lions!


This weekend at different sites our drum line and varsity color guard competed at WGI Power Regionals. Our drum line with many logistical challenges placed 9th at prelims and 7tb in semi-finals, the guard placed 6th in prelims; proud to announce both groups are now division I WGI groups. Go Lions!


Make-A-Wish Club is hosting a toy drive throughout this month to bring joy to children with life-threatening conditions at CHOC Hospital! There will be a prize for the person who donates the most. Toys can be dropped off in room G3!


Attention any girls interested in playing water polo: we will have a team meeting today during lunch in L1.


Attention all freshman, sophomore, and junior girls! We will be starting a Girls Golf team in the fall. If you are interested in joining a motivated team and learning a great sport come to our information meeting on Thursday March 29th at lunch in the Choir Room C2. No previous golf experience is required!


ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!! Be sure to return your signed course selection cards and any AP/Honors Agreements or summer school forms to the black box in the front office no later than Wednesday, March 28, or your classes will randomly be selected for next school year.


Attention Seniors: Your world language teacher has the list of students who have qualified for the Seal of Biliteracy award this year. Come and talk to your teacher to see if your name is on the list! If you are not enrolled in a World Language class this semester but you think you have met the award requirements, see Mrs. Prado or Mrs. Machado as soon as possible because you might need to apply for this award and the deadline is March 30.


Ahhhh ACE!!! This week’s Game of the Week is Boy’s Volleyball!! On Thursday, March 29th the Lions will take on the Oceanview Seahawks at 4:30pm in the Lion’s Den. You don’t want to miss out!!

On Tuesday, March 27th the EU will present their Spring Showcase featuring the LEO Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band, JV Color Guard, Jazz Band, Drum Line, Orchestra, Varsity Color Guard, and the Symphonic Band. Tickets are $3 pre-sale/$5 at the door. Hope to see you there, nothing better for the soul than live music performances. Go Lions!


Today is audition day! If you would like to audition for Abbey Singers come to the choir room today after school. Auditions start at 3pm. Break a Leg!


Attention Lions!!! In case you missed the informational meeting on Friday, Dodgeball Tournament sign ups begin TODAY!! Sign ups are online (check your email!) beginning today through Friday, March 30th. Remember, teams are a max of 6 players, must be coed teams, and cost is $6 per team. Space is limited, so sign up quickly!


Have you ever wanted to understand your favourite Korean dramas and K-pop songs? Come by E7 during lunch today and learn Korean with Korean Culture Club.
