Good Morning Lions!

The CIF website announced yesterday that Vanessa Campos, Kelly Alamazan and Sarah Ralston each made the All-CIF team. Congratulations girls!


Calling all LGBTQ+ students and their allies! Come by E7 during lunch for GSA’s last meeting before break. Be prepared to bring some ideas to the table!


Don’t forgot to come out to room G3 for a Stand up to Cancer meeting today during lunch!! As always, bring your lunch and your friends!!!


Make-A-Wish Club is hosting a toy drive throughout this month to bring joy to children with life-threatening conditions at CHOC Hospital! There will be a prize for the person who donates the most. Toys can be dropped off in room G3!


Attention all freshman, sophomore, and junior girls! We will be starting a Girls Golf team in the fall. If you are interested in joining a motivated team and learning a great sport come to our information meeting on Thursday March 29th at lunch in the Choir Room C2. No previous golf experience is required!


ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!! Be sure to return your signed course selection cards and any AP/Honors Agreements or summer school forms to the black box in the front office no later than Wednesday, March 28, or your classes will randomly be selected for next school year.


Attention Seniors: Your world language teacher has the list of students who have qualified for the Seal of Biliteracy award this year. Come and talk to your teacher to see if your name is on the list! If you are not enrolled in a World Language class this semester but you think you have met the award requirements, see Mrs. Prado or Mrs. Machado as soon as possible because you might need to apply for this award and the deadline is March 30.


Ahhhh ACE!!! This week’s Game of the Week is Boy’s Volleyball!! On Thursday, March 29th the Lions will take on the Oceanview Seahawks at 4:30pm in the Lion’s Den. You don’t want to miss out!!


Today the EU will present their Spring Showcase featuring the LEO Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band, JV Color Guard, Jazz Band, Drum Line, Orchestra, Varsity Color Guard, and the Symphonic Band. Tickets are $3 pre-sale/$5 at the door. Hope to see you there, nothing better for the soul than live music performances. Go Lions!


Hey Lions! The Risen Christian club will be meeting this Thursday at lunch in room N-12 and we would love to have you join us! Pizza is provided so you don’t need to take time to buy your lunch, just come!


Students , Having trouble with your school work? need some advice about college? or just advice in general? then Project HOPE is the program for you. We provide tutoring in all subjects, one on one peer advising, college preparation workshops. ust come to room L-3 every Tuesday afterschool from 3-5:30 and we can get you started. If you have any questions, come by L3 and ask for Mr. Pham or Mr. Burns.


Don’t forget to show your college spirit on Wednesday! Wear your favorite college gear!

Ever wanted to be a part of the Nationally ranked Lion’s cheer team? Well, now is your chance! Cheer tryouts will be held after spring break and tryout packets are available now! Please see Mrs. Brownell in J25 or Mrs. Grieco in T1 to pick up one today!

!! Watch UNIQUE and AMAZING cultural performance, taste delicious food from around the globe, or play traditional games! Tickets are on sale NOW in the finance office- $3 for ALL WHS students, $5 for non-WHS students and $7 for adults. You won’t want to miss out on this funfilled night.


The WHS Library now has four new big, beautiful computers each with a scanner! They have the complete Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office. Come in and try them out.


Attention Lions!!! Dodgeball Tournament sign ups are happening now!! Sign ups are online (check your email!) through Friday, March 30th. Remember, teams are a max of 6 players, must be coed teams, and cost is $6 per team. Space is limited, so sign up quickly!


Attention Lions: Don’t forget that your library is open for full library services until 4:00 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays! And as long as you are quiet the credit recovery teachers will let you stay as late as 6:00 pm on Monday through Thursday.
