Congratulations to our Athletes of the Month for April: Leanna Miranda from softball and Ryan Maciel from baseball.

 

Swag winners have won again- after a random drawing of the April winners, the following students won a Lion t-shirt, beanie or bag. Golden La, Lorena Vega, and Obby Mata! Come to G-1 to claim your prize. Our April SWAG winner from the teachers who nominated is…Ms. Sarah Bruce! She wins an Office Depot gift card or a Lion Spirit Wear item. Only five weeks of SWAG left, Lions!

 

The Yearbook cover has you on it! That’s right…If you bought a Super Leo then you get to be on the cover of your own Yearbook for free. Others can do it too, but it will cost you $5. It’s a two-day special and that is Tuesday and Wednesday of this week only in room K-1 from 7:15 am until the end of lunch. This year’s theme is Super hero and Comic Books, but you are not required to dress in any certain manner. We are the only school that does this. Don’t delay…be on the cover today!

 

Hey Lions! Yearbooks are on sale now until May 1st for $95. After May 1st, you will not be able to buy a 2017-18 yearbook so don’t delay, buy one today!

 

Seniors – Grad Nite ticket sales start today at lunch, infront of the asb office. stop by for your forms

 

The Junior Ambassadors, a nonprofit organization, are helping the low income mothers in Orange County mothers who are in need of baby and maternity items. We will give the items we need like diapers, wet wipes, diaper cream, baby powder, sock, and underwear. However, we are in need of your help and donations to give back. So please donate the items we need to the donation box located at the office. The last day to donate is May 4th. Thank you for your cooperation!

 

ATTENTION SENIORS – The Fines List has been posted for Seniors currently owing fines. Please check the Finance Office window (G1) to see if you currently owe any fines. Now is the time to work to clear them.

 

El Club de Español invites you to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us! On Friday May 4th we will have a Kermes in the Cafeteria from 5 to 8 pm. With just $1 you get your first raffle ticket and you can win more through the event while you enjoy some Mexican food and the awesome entertainment we have lined up for the night! Bring your friends and family and celebrate with us! Remember Friday May 4th from 5 to 8 in the Cafeteria! Los esperamos!!

 

Attention self-motivated students with busy schedules. We may have hybrid/online options for the following courses next year: Health, Spanish 2, ERWC, Literature and Modern Media, and AP Research. If you plan to take one of these courses and want to learn more about the hybrid/online option, you must come to the mandatory orientation on Tuesday, May 1st at lunch in the library.

 

Hey batter batter swing!!! Baseball will battle against the Orange Panthers in our next Game of the Week on Tuesday,May 1st on our home field. First pitch is at 3:15. Come out and show your Lion pride!!

 

This message is for all students. On Wednesday, May 2nd, all seniors will be taking the California Science Test from 8 AM to 10 AM. 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students are not required to be at school until 10:07 for zero period and 10:37 for first period.

 

Attention students! The Westminster City Council is currently seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Youth Committee. If you care about your community and wish to offer input to your City Council on behalf of the youth in the City of Westminster, this may be just the opportunity you have been waiting for! See Mrs. Gomez in the College & Career Center, the CCC, for an application!

 

It is almost May, AP Exams, Senior Science Test, Junior SBAC Math tests. Eat a healthy diet full of iron rich foods starting now, do better on your tests throughout May. Good Luck on your tests, see you May 24thif you want to save a life on top of doing well on your tests!
