Good Morning Lions!
P – Prepare for college and career.
Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
On September 15, 1810, late at night Miguel Hidalgo rang the bell of a church in Dolores to gather the townspeople. That night he inspired them to pick up their arms and fight for their independence from Spain. The next day began the struggle for independence that lasted 11 years. On September 27, 1821 Mexico was finally declared an independent nation and they now celebrate by recreating the “grito de independencia”, parades, festivals and fireworks. Feliz día de independencia México!
