Good Morning Lions!

In yesterdays tennis quarterfinals, our ladies upset #4 seed La Salle, to secure a seat in the semi finals of the Division 5 CIF tournament. A nail biter through and through, it came down to the very last match. With nerves of steel, senior captain megan chow was able to pull out the set win for a final victorious score of 10-8. Good job Megan, Taina, Vanessa, Christina, Tramie, Vina, Daniela, Ngan and Caroline. Good luck Wednesday against #1 seed Woodcrest Christian.

 

On Saturday at the Big Orange Classic held at Riverside Community College the Entertainment Unit took Second Place with a First Place in Visual Effect, Our Color Guard also took second place and our Drum Line took First Place. Congratulations to the Entertainment Unit on a job well done!

 

Do you love to perform? Join GLEE CLUB Monday during lunch and Wednesday after school in the choir room, C2! Come along on this “JOURNEY” and “DON’T STOP BELIEVING!”

 

What club is arguably the best club on campus? DEBATE CLUB of course! Join Debate Club this Wednesday in Mr. Conlon’s room, t15, during lunch. See you there!

ATTENTION SENIORS!! COUNTDOWN TO COLLEGE APPLICATION DAY! There are 8 days left! College app day is an entire school day to help you apply to college! Stop by the College and Career Center to see how you can GET READY!

 

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES! Apparel order forms have been extended until November 15th! Pick up a pre-order form in G1.

 

There will be a softball informational meeting today at 3pm at the softball field. Anyone interested in trying out, please attend.

 

Ask about a Spring ROP class in the Library and receive a treat. Spring ROP registration is on going this month. Register with Mrs. Duremdes in the Library Office

 

Students , Having trouble with your school work? need some advice about college? or

just advice in general? then Project HOPE is the program for you. We provide tutoring in

all subjects, one on one peer advising, college preparation workshops. Just come to

room L-3 every Tuesday afterschool from 3-5:30 and we can get you started. If you

have any questions, come by L3 and ask for Mr. Pham or Mr. Burns.

Attention Lions! Tickets are now on sale for the WHS’s Theater production of “The Rehearsal”. Come enjoy the fun and laughter as a troupe of actors work to put together a show. The show nights are November 15, 16, and 17th at 7:00pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm. Tickets are $5 pre-sale or $7 at the door. Seats sale out fast so by your ticket today. Tickets on sale at the Finance Office or in the Theater room.

 

Hey lions! There will be a Stand Up to Cancer meeting TODAY during lunch in room G3. Today’s meeting is very important because you guys will vote for this year’s apparel! Don’t forget to bring your lunch and your friends!
