  Good Morning Lions!   E – Engage in school culture.   Congratulations to the freshman football team on their win yesterday over the Santa Ana Saints, the Lions finished 6 and 4 and were 2nd in league. The Lions defense came up huge causing two fumbles… along with An interception by Carlos Moreno, and Justin Nguyen, Justin returned his pic to the house for 41 yards. Early in the fourth qtr, Running back Ivan Cortes ran in for a 14 yard score, kicker Marco Abuerto made the P.A.T. ..Special thanks to the fans For being an athletic supporter this season. Good Morning Lions!   Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.   P – Prepare for college and career.   In Friday night’s Football action the term Senior Night certainly lived up to it’s billing. The Lions quickly took the lead and never looked back with Josh Avila scoring 3 touchdowns along with other scores by Jose Montanez, Brandon Cox, Antonio Olea and Isayah Anderson. Carlos Rocha made all 6 of his extra points and in a night where everybody was a able to play in the 50-21 victory over Loara…every single point was scored by a senior!   Good Morning Lions!   E – Engage in school culture.   Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team and their dominating win over visiting Loara. The Lions scored first with an 8 yard Touchdown run by George Lopez, ,, Ivan Cortes responded to a Saxon score with an76 yard Kickoff return to the house. Later in the quarter Running back Sergio Nava scored on an 17 yard rumbling stumbling bowling ball run to put the lions up 20-6. After the half Carlos Moreno ran in to seal the score 28-19. BUT HOLD EVERYTHING! Before the Half Super Star Running Back Joseph Pendegrass took the field and the crowd went wild!!Chanting his name, Joseph Joseph as he danced to their cheer. Good Morning Lions!   Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.   P – Prepare for college and career.   In Saturday’s Football action our varsity payed a visit to Orange and came home with an exciting 35-27 victory. The win for the Lions put them firmly into 2nd place behind 200 yards and a touchdown by Josh Avila and 4 touchdowns by Jacob McGookin. Carlos Rocha made all 5 extra points and the defense held on tight for the hard earned victory. The Lions hope to see you all this Friday night for the Pink Out game here at Boswell Field.   On Saturday the Entertainment took second in percussion and music performance, out scoring Marina and Huntington Beach at the Capistrano Valley Field Tournament. Of the 8 schools in division 3 the unit placed fourth overall and with not their best performance. The new uniforms look great, the unit debut them in Boswell this Friday night at the game. Good Morning Lions!   E – Engage in school culture.   Happy Mole Day   In yesterday’s Freshmen Football Action, the Lions visited the Orange Panthers and let them know the Lions came to HIT. On their opening drive running back Ivan Cortes went in for an 8 yard TD. adding to the 20-6 win was George Lopez, and an End Zone Catch by Justin Grey. Wide Receiver Jose Diaz had a crucial 23 yard reception on a 4th and 12. Defense held the panther 3 times inside our own 2 yard line. Great job D. E – Engage in school culture.   In yesterday’s Football action our JV team moved to a 5-1 season with a crushing 39-20 victory over visiting Segerstorm. Mark Hoang recovered 2 fumbles on defense to stop the Jaguars and the offense simply took over the show. Chris Samilton scored on a touchdown run and Irving Rosete threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Natan DaSilva. The star of the day was Christian Jamie ran for 250 yards and 4 touchdowns.   Good Morning Lions!   D – Demonstrate digital literacy.   Congrats to our Boys water polo team in their Leauge win over the Orange Panthers, 17 to 8! John Moreno dominated their best 2 meter player, while still scoring 3 goals. Tyler Hopka scored the first goal of the same, but still managed to add 3 more! Jonny Cesares scored a game high 8 goals, while Josh Mitchell drove the lane scoring one goal, but added two more goals from set! Peter Vu got the starting knod and was able to convert that into 2 goals at critical times of the game. Trenton Jones was the defensive anchor with 14 saves on goal! Great Team win Lions!   The girl’s volleyball team got a sweep at our home game against Loara yesterday as Frosh, JV, and Varsity gave it their all and took home the win. Good Morning Lions!   I- Inquire and collaborate.   Congrats again to our lady lions tennis team as they earned their 5th league win with a victory over Santa Ana. Singles Megan Chow and Thao Duong swept their matches while doubles newcomer Annie Nguyen partnered with Ilse Garcia to win three too Good job ladies   In yesterday’s field hockey action against the Fountain Valley Barons, Baysia Ortiz and Carolyne Walter work together to get the ball to Abbie Nguyen who does a reverse stick swipe off the goalie pads to score! In addition Destiny Gonzalez, Kayla Dang and Stephanie Jimenez fight to get the ball to Tien Ho who assists Carolyne Walters with the winning goal! The offensive line went crazy and Malachi Mesa ran for 153 yards and a touchdown and also threw a touchdown to Chris Samilton. Good Morning Lions!   Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.   P – Prepare for college and career.   In Friday’s Football action our JV team easily handled visiting Magnolia and cruised to a 42-0 victory. Irving Rosete threw 2 touchdowns to Natan Da Silva and Christian Jamie scored 2 running the ball. Malachi Mesa also had a touchdown and an interception but the play of the day was a 35-yard punt return by Victor Andraca who knocked over the Sentinels as though they were bowling pins on his way for the first touchdown of the day. Singles #1 Quynh Anh recorded two points while Doubles #1 Tram Chau and Christina Nguyen swept their matches including the deciding 10th point. Good Morning Lions!   E – Engage in school culture.   In yesterday’s Football action our JV team romped and stomped their way all over Katella by jumping out to a 34-0 lead with Christian Jaime crushing his way to 232 yards and 2 touchdowns. The offensive and defensive line were, once again, spectacular behind the leadership of Travon Thomas. Irving Rosete added 150 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns along with a touchdown pass to Chris Samilton. The defense was lead by Malachi Mesa who had a interception and a fumble recovery as the Lions won the game 46-29. Good Morning Lions!   Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.   P- Prepare for college and career.   In last Friday night’s Football action a huge and voiceterous crowd enjoyed an extremely fun tailgate party and then a highly exciting rivalry football game. In a rare crosstown loss for the Lions the team hung in until the end and had the lead until the final minute of the game. Josh Avila gained 150 yards for the second game in a row along with a touchdown. Also scoring were Noah Melton who then went on to throw a touchdown pass to Isayah Anderson. Now the Lions host their 3rd undefeated team in a row this Friday with Katella High and hope to see even half of the fantastic crowd that blessed us last week. Good Morning Lions!   In yesterday’s Football action our JV team went over to marina and showed the Vikings how hard the Lions can bite. The Offensive and defensive line crushed everything in their way and opened up a 34-0 lead in the 3rd quarter as Christian Jamie scored 3 touchdowns along with 2 touchdowns by Irving Rosete. Kickers Juan Rivera and Fernando Gonzalez made the extra points and the Lions went home with a very 34-9 win. Good Morning Lions!   Congrats to our Boys Water Polo Team for dunking the Magnolia Sentinels 9 to 4! Jonny Cesares led the team with 4 goals, Tyler Atkinson with 2 goals, Angel Revelles, Josh Mitchel, John Moreno each scored one goal! Trenton Jones had 11 blocks and 6 assists! Good Morning Lions!   In Yesterdays field hockey action Defender Erica Regino sends the ball to Laura Cabral, Laura sends a rocket up the field past Chaminades defence. Samantha Sturza recieves the ball dribbles and then sends the the ball across the goal to Kayla Dang. Kayla shoots to goal and scores. Kayla scores two goals for the game against Chaminade. . Defenders Erica Regino, Wendy Navarrete were too tough for the Chaminade to handle along with Destiny Gonzalez as goalie who denied Chaminades offence of scoring any goals.
