After crowning King Andrew Lam and Queen Jacklynn Tran about 400 well-dressed Lions headed to old town Santa Ana’s Yost Theater for a perfect celebration of the previous night’s Homecoming victory. The fun began at 8 pm and it was solid dancing until 11 pm. Plenty of passersby stopped and asked questions about how we obtained such a perfect setting in this rebuilt theater first opened in 1913 before even many of our teachers were born. 😉 Many faculty and the entire administration team were on hand toensuree that our students could have a night to remember and the two story building made that easy to do so. There was a photo booth on the two tiered balcony that overlooked the giant dance floor as well as desserts, drinks and tables elevated on each side. The theater was a perfect backdrop for the DJ and giant balloons that rained down upon the crowd as we celebrated “An Empire State of Mind” and the bigness of New York City that carried our Homecoming theme throughout a week of dress up days and Homecoming Rally. ASB certainly lived up to their billing as the event of the year and those in attendance loved the event. A year is what you make of it and this year is being made quite nice. The Yearbook staff took hundreds of photos and video and all of them can be found in this year’s Yearbook. Don’t fall asleep on that either…get involved and be there to remember your high school years. Don’t just watch the show…be the show.
