The 2011-2012 school year will start with new leadership at the helm in the K-11 Office. Mrs. Wilson-Willmore retired in 2010 and Mrs. Machado has opted to return to the classroom full-time, leaving former K-11 employee and WHS alumnus, Mr. Alejandro Gimenez as the new Title I/PELL Coordinator.
After graduating from WHS, Mr. Gimenez worked as an Instructional Aide and then as Community Outreach Specialist in the K-11 Office for almost 10 years. In 2001, Mr. Gimenez began his teaching career in the English/Language Arts department at Westminster High School. Since then, Mr. Gimenez has supervised Saturday School and created the CAHSEE Boot Camp. He has taught English, Reading and ELD.
Special Projects Technician, Tanya Williams will work with Mr. Gimenez in K-11, along with Jesús Ortega, Community Outreach Specialist. Community Liaison Specialists Hanh Le and Juan Juarez will continue working in the administration building under Mr. Gimenez’s supervision.
