ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS…if you have not taken Health and have a free period 6 then go see your Guidance Specialist to sign up for Hybrid Health, where you only have to meet in class once a week.

 

ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!! ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!! ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!! Course selections window for you to choose classes for next school year is now opened so log in to your Aeries student account to select classes. This window will remain opened through Thursday, February 28. Ask your English teacher for directions.

 

Hey Lions! The Risen Christian club will be meeting today at lunch in room F-6. We would love to have you join us! Pizza is provided so you don’t need to take time to buy your lunch, just come!

 

Do you want to make a Wish come true? Then stop by Ding Tea by Phybe in Huntington Beach to support Make A Wish’s club’s fundraiser!! Remember to say at the register that you’re there to support WHS Make A Wish!

 

Good morning Lions! It’s National FFA week and to celebrate the agriculture department will be holding a rally Friday afternoon at lunch. One of the events will be Kiss the Cow. Vote for what teacher you want to see kiss the cow in the office during lunch all week, it’s a quarter a vote, make sure to vote for your favorite teacher!

Attention all students. For those of you who have not heard, there is going to be one Revelations Club meeting this Thursday in Mrs. Ramirez’s room in G3 during lunch. Swing by to see what’s happening.

 

Attention students! The Club de Español will have a meeting Today at lunch in room E5 to talk about the activities for second semester. The meeting will start promptly at 12:20. Remember, TODAY at lunch in E5! Los vemos!!

 

Attention Freshmen!! Sign up for the Freshman Annual Indoor Soccer tournament today at break and lunch in front of the gym! The tournament begins on Monday, February 25th!! Don’t miss out!!

Would you like to give back to the community by spreading kindness one mission at a time? If yes, then make sure to come out to Operation Be Kind’s meeting today in room N10 during lunch! Be that random act of kindness that puts a smile on someone’s face!

 

Hey Junior Class! Junior Passport to Success will be today, Thursday, February 21st at the Cafeteria. Please check your emails for your appointments times.

 

Are you looking for advice on writing a great resume? Building Bloc is hosting a resume building workshop for all students! Learn how to build a professional resume and highlight the skills needed for a future job, internship, or college! Come to the Career Center on TODAY after school from 3 to 4!

 

Interested in the Armed Services? Representatives from the US Army and the California National Guard will be in the CCC, TODAY AT LUNCH! Also, the district will be holding a Armed Services Night on March 6th at 6pm at the district office. All of the branches of the military will be present for you to check out and answer any questions you may have!

 

The competition was fierce for Mr. Shafer’s Virtual Enterprise class at the LA Trade Fair Tuesday. There were over 1,300 students representing 74 companies. WHS’s Team MOBO took 2 top 15 bronze awards for financial statements and sales materials, and 2 top 10 silver awards in booth design and impact marketing. Congrat’s Team MOBO!

 

All sophomores and juniors, be sure to start registering for your ROP classes for the next school year. ROP classes fill up very fast and a lot of our popular classes have wait lists. See Mrs. Duremdes in her office in the Library today.. Thank you!

 

Seniors…here we are…your last chance to be in the Yearbook has come to a close. Friday the 22nd…and that’s tomorrow (or today). Go to room K-1 and have your Yearbook photo taken! Don’t explain for the rest of your life why you are not in the Yearbook.

 

Mr.Ibarra is in the lead for the kiss the cow voting. Make sure to vote during lunch for your favorite teacher in Abbey and Buckingham

 

Hey Students! Hey Hey Teachers and Staff! Your WHS Book Club is hosting a Fundraiser supporting our ever victorious OCAD this Friday, February 22nd at Carl’s Jr. That is THIS Friday, February 22nd, ALL DAY: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Eat an early breakfast! Go for lunch. Have dinner, and your late night snack! Support the WHS OCAD Team! 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. WOW!!! See you there! Westminster Blvd.

 

Do you want to be part of a great cause? Then come join Red Cross for their Red Cross Games on March 16th from 11-4:30pm to fundraise for those in need!

 

Attention ALL LIONS! Beginning Monday, February 25th, the student parking lot will be closed for solar panel installation until April 10th. On Monday morning, the Hazard entrance will be one way and will exit on Homer St. Students must be dropped off on the right side of the feeder road. Students driving to school must have a current parking sticker and should enter at Hazard and will be directed to park on the backfield. Please allow yourself extra time during this closure.
