Good Morning Lions!


P – Prepare for college and career.


In Track and Field action the season came to a close with a 2nd place performance by our boys varsity and the girls finishing in 3rd. The Boys and Girls JV and Frosh/Soph all won the league meet and league championships. Going on to CIF for Division 1 are league champions Nicke Perez in the Pole Vault, Sergio Vega and Sophia Nguyen in the 300 Hurdles, Emily Nguyen in the Triple Jump and Omar Garcia in the 200 and 400 as well as the 1600 meter relay with Sergio, Richard Nguyen and Paul Nguyen.


Attention Students!! Club de Español invites you to our Cinco de Mayo Kermés on Friday May 3rd, 5pm to 8pm in Abbey Square. Entrance tickets will be on presale at the finance office for just $1, or you can pay $2 at the door! First 100 students to get a ticket will receive a goodie bag at the event. So come celebrate Mexico’s victory with us! We will have games, performances and chances to win prizes! Don’t forget to bring some extra cash to buy some delicious Mexican Food! See you there!!!

Attention self-motivated students with busy schedules: Interested in taking Health or World History in the hybrid format next year? There are mandatory orientations coming up where you can learn more and add your name to the interest list. The Hybrid Health orientation is Tuesday April 30th at lunch in B13, and the Hybrid World History orientation is Friday, May 3rd at lunch in T2.

Attention Seniors! Have you earned a Scholar with Specialization cord in Visual and Performing Arts? If you have taken two or more years of VPA classes and earned a C or better, come see Mrs. Strombotne or Mrs. Anderson no later than Monday, April 30th, to be put on the list to receive a VPA Specialization Cord at Senior Awards Night. You will wear the cord on your graduation gown at the 2019 WHS Graduation Ceremony.

Students , Having trouble with your school work? need some advice about college? or

just advice in general? then Project HOPE is the program for you. We provide tutoring in

all subjects, one on one peer advising, college preparation workshops. ust come to

room L-3 every Tuesday afterschool from 3-5:30 and we can get you started. If you

have any questions, come by L3 and ask for Mr. Pham or Mr. Burns.

Attention Sophomores and juniors. There has been a lot of inquires about ROP classes this summer. I am sorry to report there will be No ROP Summer Class offerings, however if you wish to enroll for fall or spring of next year, please see Mrs. Duremdes ROP office in the Library!

Hey lions, GSA will have a meeting today in room E-7, Mr. Kadmiri’s room during lunch! Bring your friends and we’ll see you there!!
