Ticket Sales on campus end Friday, September 30th at 3pm. $50 with ASB/Leo and $55 without. Don’t miss out! Remember to pick up your permission slip in the Activities Office and return to Supervision as soon as possible so you can buy your ticket! Good Morning Lions!   Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.   P – Prepare for college and career.   In Friday’s Football action our JV team easily handled visiting Magnolia and cruised to a 42-0 victory. Irving Rosete threw 2 touchdowns to Natan Da Silva and Christian Jamie scored 2 running the ball. Malachi Mesa also had a touchdown and an interception but the play of the day was a 35-yard punt return by Victor Andraca who knocked over the Sentinels as though they were bowling pins on his way for the first touchdown of the day. Juan Rivera was perfect in all 6 extra points and the entire defense was spectacular. Congratulations Lions!   Hey all you Westminster High School Book Clubbers! Good Morning Lions!   E – Engage in school culture.   In last night’s Football action our varsity team opened up the offense with 600 yards and a 47-20 win over Magnolia. Quarterback Noah Melton threw for 300 yards and 5 touchdowns with 2 touchdowns to Antonio Olea and 3 more to Isayah Anderson who had 4 touchdowns on the night. Josh Avila scored a touchdown and kickers Fidel Santana and Carlos Rocha split up 5 extra points. Come out to our own Boswell Field at 3:00 today to watch our JV team complete the 3 game sweep.   Congratulations to Lady Lions Tennis on their back to back win over the panthers of Orange, 13-5!!! Doubles 2, Kelly Ho and Vy Le, took two, while Singles number 2, Nancy Ngo, won the clinching point!! Good job ladies, keep on winning!   Way to go Freshmen! Good Morning Lions!   I – Inquire and collaborate.   After a brutal and heartbreaking non league schedule, the lady lions tennis team finally clicked on all 12 cylinders and etched out a 10-8 win over bitter league rival Segerstrom. Singles #1 Quynh Anh recorded two points while Doubles #1 Tram Chau and Christina Nguyen swept their matches including the deciding 10th point. Congrats girls on a good start to their league schedule   Aloha lions! Are you interested in learning a bit about the Polynesian culture? Good Morning Lions!   E – Engage in school culture.   In yesterday’s Football action our JV team romped and stomped their way all over Katella by jumping out to a 34-0 lead with Christian Jaime crushing his way to 232 yards and 2 touchdowns. The offensive and defensive line were, once again, spectacular behind the leadership of Travon Thomas. Irving Rosete added 150 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns along with a touchdown pass to Chris Samilton. The defense was lead by Malachi Mesa who had a interception and a fumble recovery as the Lions won the game 46-29. Good Morning Lions!   Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.   P- Prepare for college and career.   In last Friday night’s Football action a huge and voiceterous crowd enjoyed an extremely fun tailgate party and then a highly exciting rivalry football game. In a rare crosstown loss for the Lions the team hung in until the end and had the lead until the final minute of the game. Josh Avila gained 150 yards for the second game in a row along with a touchdown. Also scoring were Noah Melton who then went on to throw a touchdown pass to Isayah Anderson. Now the Lions host their 3rd undefeated team in a row this Friday with Katella High and hope to see even half of the fantastic crowd that blessed us last week. Good Morning Lions!   In yesterday’s Football action our JV team went over to marina and showed the Vikings how hard the Lions can bite. The Offensive and defensive line crushed everything in their way and opened up a 34-0 lead in the 3rd quarter as Christian Jamie scored 3 touchdowns along with 2 touchdowns by Irving Rosete. Kickers Juan Rivera and Fernando Gonzalez made the extra points and the Lions went home with a very 34-9 win. Good Morning Lions!   Congrats to our Boys Water Polo Team for dunking the Magnolia Sentinels 9 to 4! Jonny Cesares led the team with 4 goals, Tyler Atkinson with 2 goals, Angel Revelles, Josh Mitchel, John Moreno each scored one goal! Trenton Jones had 11 blocks and 6 assists! Good Morning Lions!   In Yesterdays field hockey action Defender Erica Regino sends the ball to Laura Cabral, Laura sends a rocket up the field past Chaminades defence. Samantha Sturza recieves the ball dribbles and then sends the the ball across the goal to Kayla Dang. Kayla shoots to goal and scores. Kayla scores two goals for the game against Chaminade. . Defenders Erica Regino, Wendy Navarrete were too tough for the Chaminade to handle along with Destiny Gonzalez as goalie who denied Chaminades offence of scoring any goals.
