Westminster High School Announces Alex De Giacomo as Head Football Coach

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - With immense pride, I am thrilled to introduce Alex De Giacomo as the new head coach of the Westminster High School (WHS) football program.

Coach De Giacomo's dedication to our football program has been evident during his tenure as our Defensive Coordinator over the past four years. Under his guidance, the WHS Lions defense has achieved remarkable success, ranking #1 in Orange County for two consecutive years and securing the #6 defense in CIF Southern Section. Alex has demonstrated an exceptional ability to foster a culture centered around family values, passion, and gritty football.

What sets Alex apart is not only his coaching prowess but also his deep personal connection to Westminster High School. As an alumnus of WHS, Alex once donned the Lions' uniform as a player, honing his skills and embodying the Lion spirit on and off the field. After his time at Westminster, Alex continued his football journey at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he further refined his talents and gained valuable experience at the collegiate level.

In our quest for a leader, we sought someone who not only possesses a deep understanding of football across all levels but also embodies the true spirit of what it means to be a Lion. Alex exemplifies these qualities and more. With his unwavering commitment and innate understanding of the game, we have full confidence in Alex's ability to connect with our players and staff, cultivating a culture of unity and achievement both on and off the field.

We eagerly anticipate the positive impact that Alex's leadership will have on our football program for years to come.
