Westminster High School Named ITEEA STEM School of Excellence 2024–2025

Westminster High School is proud to announce that we have been named one of ITEEA’s STEM Schools of Excellence for the 2024–2025 school year. This prestigious national recognition is awarded to schools that exemplify outstanding STEM programs, student engagement, and leadership in advancing technology and engineering education.

We are especially honored to be the only high school in California to receive this recognition, underscoring the dedication of our staff and students to excellence in STEM learning. At the heart of this achievement is our MERITS program (Math, Engineering, Robotics, Innovation, Technology, and Science), which empowers students to develop critical problem-solving skills, collaborate on real-world challenges, and explore pathways to college and career success.

The award is presented by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA), the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to advancing technological and engineering literacy. Through its STEM School of Excellence designation, ITEEA honors schools that inspire innovation, champion student achievement, and set the standard for 21st-century STEM education.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our teachers, the creativity of our students, and the strength of our community. Together, we are preparing the next generation of innovators, engineers, and leaders.
