Parent Involvement Policy
In compliance with federal and state requirements and in collaboration with our parents, Westminster High School has developed a parent involvement policy that establishes the framework of school-family-community partnerships. This policy was created in collaboration with our ELAC. School Site Council then provided feedback from which the document was accordingly modified and then approved. The parent involvement policy was then mailed to all parents of Westminster High School in Spanish, Vietnamese, and English and is on our school’s website in all three languages.
Westminster High School believes that a partnership between parents and school is essential for student success.
Westminster High School is committed to:
- Implementing the requirements for parental involvement as describe in the law
- Consulting with parents in planning and operating Title I programs and making decisions about how funding is used for parent involvement activities
- Having a parent involvement policy and school-parent compacts that are developed together with parents
- Including our school’s Parent Involvement Policy in our Single Plan for Student Achievement
- Including full opportunities for participation by all groups of parents, including physical access and, to the extent practicable, in languages other than English
