Students enrolled in the Westminster High School Dual Enrollment Nursing Pathway recently had the opportunity to step off campus and into the world of college-level healthcare education with a visit to the nursing program at Golden West College.
The visit gave students an up-close look at the facilities, curriculum, and resources available to nursing students at GWC, offering a preview of the academic journey ahead of them. For many, it was their first time experiencing a college nursing environment firsthand, making the career path they are pursuing feel tangible and within reach.
The Dual Enrollment Nursing Pathway is designed to give WHS students a head start on their healthcare education, allowing them to earn college credit while still in high school. Visits like this one play an important role in the program, connecting classroom learning to real-world settings and helping students build the confidence and vision they need to succeed beyond graduation.
WHS is proud to offer pathways that open doors for students and create meaningful connections with higher education institutions like Golden West College. We look forward to watching this group of dedicated students continue to grow on their journey toward careers in nursing and healthcare.
