Policies and Procedures

Policies:

  • Water only!
    • No other drinks or food allowed.
    • Please keep all food items put away.
  • All technology must be silenced.
    • The use of headphones, earbuds, etc is required.
    • Headphones are available to check out (in SMLP only).
    • Answer and talk on the phone outside of the SMLP.
  • Do not re-shelve books.
    • Place used books on bookshelves or table surfaces.
  • Use furniture correctly.
 
 
 

Procedures:

All students must sign in every time they enter the Sylvia Mendez Learning Pavillion. (Before school, During class, Breaks, Lunch, and Afterschool).


  • Sign in at the Circulation Desk via the 5-Star Students mobile app or provide a current, physical student I.D. card to be scanned. 
    • Physical student I.D. cards may be purchased at the Finance Office (Rm. G01) for $5.00.
    • Students who do not have a phone or have lost their privileges must have a current student ID on them at all times.

Entry during class periods:

  • Students will also be required to present an SMLP pass, signed and dated by their teacher or designated staff member, for entry during that period only.
  • Students will need to sign in to print.
