Earn College Credit - Dual Enrollment

HBUHSD students can get an early start on college this fall with Golden West College (GWC)! Students who take an approved GWC class can get high school and college credit for free! There are two options for HBUHSD students to enroll in GWC classes:

Dual Enrollment
GWC will have select classes at HBUHSD schools in person this fall before or after school. All HBUHSD students can participate if it works for their schedule. More information and detailed instructions for signing up can be found here: HBUHSD Dual Enrollment Courses

Please note that since these classes are not held in the bell schedule, HBUHSD students will need to register themselves online in MyGWC to participate. The deadline to register for fall dual enrollment classes is Tuesday, August 30!

Step-by-step instructions with guides for completing the sign-up process are available here: GWC How to Apply and Register

Concurrent Enrollment
HBUHSD students can continue to take regular GWC classes online or on the college campus and earn high school and college credit for free. The list of approved classes for HBUHSD students, and detailed sign-up instructions, can be found here: HBUHSD Concurrent Enrollment Courses

The registration deadline for fall 2022 concurrent enrollment classes is Sunday, August 28!

Help Sessions
GWC staff will have several Zoom info sessions and help sessions available for HBUHSD students who have questions or need assistance with the sign-up process. You can find the days, times and Zoom link here: GWC Early College Credit Help Sessions

Students can also contact the GWC Dual Enrollment Office directly at [email protected] for assistance.
