Student Member Biographies

Sophia Le: "I am a sophomore and a School Site Council Student Cabinet Member. I joined the School Site Council because of the promise of representing the student body and ensuring that opinions and votes are heard! I hope to bring a new perspective and fresh ideas to benefit the council and Westminster High School."  
 
Michelle Shim: "I am a 9th-grade student and I hold the president position on the School Site Council.  I joined SSC because it is the perfect way to bridge the gap between students and the school administration. I hope to promote programs that engage students and the overall well-being of all students at Westminster High School!"
 
An Nguyen: "I am a 12th-grade student and I hold the vice president position on the School Site Council.  I joined SSC because I want to contribute to the betterment of our school community. I believe in actively contributing to the decision-making processes, bringing a diverse perspective, working collaboratively, and shaping our school for the benefit of all students."
 
Viri Ramos: "I am a senior and I am the School Site Council Parliamentarian. I am involved in Kappa, Operation Be Kind, LCAP, and  PTSA, as well as, Eureka Girls Inc., Puente, and OCAD. I joined SSC to grow and to help the entire school by making decisions that would benefit everyone. I want to represent my peers and be someone they can look up to as their motivation and starting point to achieving more. I will do my best to be the voice of my peers!"

Parent Member Biographies

Mrs. Yazmin Parral: "I am a parent of junior and freshman students. I have been involved in parent groups such as the PTA, CLAC, 10 Commandments, and Olive Crest, and I am very active at the Westminster Family Resource Center. I want to learn how the School Site Council works and connect with the other stakeholders to support WHS. I believe that setting an example of involvement for my students is important and I want them to be successful and involved in school culture and activities."
 
Mr. Kevin Pham: "I am a parent of a freshman and a WHS alumnus. I want to learn how the School Site Council benefits the students and the school. I am participating to encourage my daughter to be involved in the school culture and activities. I look forward to collaborating and developing lasting relationships with the SSC cabinet members."  
 
Mrs. Madai Flores: "I am a parent of a freshman and a WHS alumna. I am currently in several parent groups, such as the PTA and School Site Council at both the elementary and middle schools where my students attend. I want to work with the students and staff and learn even more about the School Site Council at the high school level. Giving my time and sharing experiences is important as I develop new connections at WHS." 

Staff Member Biographies

Ms. Breanna Couffer: "I am a former Marine Biologist turned Marine Biology teacher whose mission is to increase equitable access to relevant, high-quality science education. As an advisor for multiple student clubs, a site representative for our DEA, and a Board Member for our local Kiwanis Club that serves the children of Westminster, I'm excited to further integrate myself into our school and local communities as a part of the WHS School Site Council. I look forward to collaborating with all of the amazing educators, administrators, staff, parents, and students who help make Westminster High School a great place to be, and can't wait to make positive changes together as a team!"
 
Mrs. Daina Ellis: "I am a teacher and department coordinator for the Visual and Performing Arts Department.  I am passionate about providing an extraordinary curriculum and looking for ways to create school and community involvement. I am excited to serve on the School Site Council. I hope to grow in new ways.  Westminster High School is an amazing place to work and I could not imagine being anywhere else. I look forward to giving back to a place that has given me so much!"
 
Mr. Tony McElroy: "I am a second-year Special Education teacher and I teach 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students in Literacy & Study Skills. I am excited to serve on the School Site Council to expand my knowledge & awareness of how the school works as well as develop relationships with a variety of staff, parents, and students at WHS." 
 
Mrs. Trees Hill: "I am the Community Resource Coordinator and I connect with parents and community members. I look forward to serving on the School Site Council to develop new and lasting relationships with the stakeholders. I believe it is important to share knowledge and to come together with a common goal. Westminster High School is a great place because we care about our students and community." 
 
Mrs. Cristina Pittman: Cristina Pittman: "I am the Assistant Principal and Coordinator of the Westminster High School School Site Council. I'm thrilled to join the School Site Council and I'm looking forward to contributing to a fantastic academic year. My passion lies in creating positive learning environments, and I'm dedicated to supporting student success. Excited about the opportunities ahead, I'm committed to collaborating with the school community for continuous improvement. Here's to a year of growth and achievement at Westminster High School!"
 
Mrs. Amy Sabol: "As your Principal, it is important to me that every staff, student, and parent who steps through our doors are proud to be Lions.
