ASB Campaigning Rules

  • You must follow the application timeline.
  • You will be responsible for removing all flyers and campaign materials after the election process is complete.
  • You may run only as an individual, no partners or teams.
  • You may not post campaign materials on school sponsored clubs and teams. All posts must be made using your personal accounts. 
  • Your campaign materials, including social media posts and all slogans, must be turned into the Activities Office for approval on or before 4pm on Wednesday, April 17. Posting unapproved social media posts, flyers, or posters will result in a disqualification for the candidate.
  • All candidates must submit a headshot picture to the Activities Room by 4 PM on April 19th.
  • Campaigning begins Monday, April 22 at 8:00 am, no sooner! You may put flyers up in teachers’ rooms with their permission. (NO FOOD, STICKERS or any GIFTS are allowed on campus as part of your campaign. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in disqualification of the candidate).
  • Candidates will give speeches on Wednesday, April 24, at lunch in the Gym. Speeches may not be longer than 90 seconds. 
  • All candidates must remain focused on their campaign only, and may not use negative personal attacks against an opponent, including but not limited to covering or removing other candidates’ posters or flyers.
  • All campaign materials may only be posted on non-painted surfaces, such as windows, walkways, teachers' classrooms with their permissions
